What I really like about this pack is how the zipper makes it open up clam shell style like an actual suitcase. One big zippered mesh pocket on the left can easily fit 2 pairs of paints, 3-4 shirts and a few socks and underwear (if you roll the shirts socks and underwear). The second zippered mesh pocket is a medium size and is on the right side is big enough for a pair of shoes or ankle cut boots and a packable down jacket or rolled hoodie. You could probably fit a pair of flip flops in that same medium pocket. The smallest zippered mesh pocket (top right side) is big enough for a hygiene kit, laptop charger and other smaller nicknacks. Keep in mind packing cubes are not really ideal for this bag but will work if you consolidate your wardrobe to a few smaller cubes. If you REALLY needed to stuff this bag with a few extra shirts socks or underwear after you pack it, it CAN be done, but its not ideal. This bag has a huge laptop sleeve that will easily hold a 15 inch MacBook. The bag itself is longer and wider than expected, so it might look a little funny on a shorter smaller person. This bag is the perfect size for airplane carry on luggage. Also has a water bottle pocket that comes out the side. Aside from everything mentioned, it also has a traditional organizer pocket for pens and small note pads and other school supplies. If you're a minimalist, you could easily pack 1 week's worth of clothes in this bag. Fully packed, it feels comfortable but again due to its slightly longer and wider size might feel cumbersome for smaller statured people. The exterior of the pack has what feels like a light rubberized coating to make it water resistant, but keep in mind the zippers are not designed to be waterproof. I like this bag and would recommend it if you do business trips a lot, take short vacations, or want a carryon style backpack that functions like an actual suitcase.
